Build your federal deadline calendar

An LLC is a legal structure, not one federal tax classification. Confirm the classification on your return or with your preparer.

Filing and payment obligations

Select only work relevant to your situation. The tool does not decide filing requirements.

Filing extensions do not extend payment deadlines. For partnerships and S corporations, estimated-payment reminders refer to individual owners.

No email, identifiers or financial values required. Changes clear the previous result and tracking marks. State clears on reload.

How to choose the right business tax calendar

Start with the income/activity year and federal return classification, then select the obligations you need to track. An entity name alone does not establish every filing requirement. Annual returns usually fall in the following year, while estimated payments and quarterly payroll filings span the activity year and sometimes the next January or February.

2025 business return deadlines filed in 2026

Partnership and S corporation

For ordinary calendar-year 2025 returns, Forms 1065 and 1120-S are due March 16, 2026. A valid filing extension generally moves filing to September 15, 2026. Owner tax payments remain separate.

Individual business owner and C corporation

Ordinary 2025 calendar-year individual and C corporation income returns are due April 15, 2026. With a valid extension, filing generally moves to October 15, 2026. The original tax balance payment date remains April 15.

Filing dates, payment dates and extensions are different

A calendar reminder does not file a return, pay tax or request an extension. Each entry states its purpose and links to official instructions. Payroll returns do not replace payroll deposits. Selected W-2 and 1099-NEC entries cover ordinary furnishing and submission dates; other information returns can follow different rules.

2026 activity and 2027 planning

The 2026 individual estimated-payment schedule ordinarily uses April 15, June 15 and September 15, 2026, then January 15, 2027. Calendar-year corporate installments ordinarily use December 15, 2026 for the fourth payment instead. The 2026 option includes the following-year return deadlines under current rules and identifies them as planning dates. Check final-year instructions and any relief before relying on them.

Supported scope and exceptions to check

This calendar supports full calendar years, common individual business reporting, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, standard estimated payments and selected federal employer/information returns. It does not determine filing requirements or calculate liabilities, penalties, eligibility, deposit schedules, fiscal/short-year dates, state taxes, foreign reporting or special relief.

Ordinary weekend adjustments are built into the selected dates. Disaster postponements and other special circumstances need a current check. If a date has passed, review your actual filing and payment history with a preparer; the tool does not decide whether you are late.

Business tax deadline questions

Which tax year should I choose?

Choose the year of the income or business activity. Selecting 2025 includes 2025 estimated-payment and payroll periods plus annual returns generally due in 2026. Selecting 2026 includes 2026 activity and annual returns generally due in 2027. Dates in 2027 are planning dates based on current ordinary rules and must be rechecked before acting.

What is the tax deadline for an LLC?

It depends on federal tax classification. An individual-owned single-member LLC with default treatment generally reports business activity on the owner’s individual return. A partnership, S corporation or C corporation follows its corresponding return schedule. Confirm elections and classification before choosing; the tool does not decide them.

Does an extension give me more time to pay?

A filing extension does not extend the ordinary payment deadline. The calendar separates original payment dates, extension-request dates and conditional extended-filing dates. Extended dates apply only when a valid timely extension is in effect.

Does the calendar include payroll tax deposits?

No. Selected Form 941 and Form 940 entries are ordinary return filing dates. Payroll deposit schedules can be monthly, semiweekly or subject to other rules and may fall before the return is due. Qualifying timely full deposits can allow extra filing days; that alternative is not calculated here.

Whose estimated payments appear for partnerships and S corporations?

The standard individual estimated-payment reminders apply to owners who need them, not entity income-tax installments. A C corporation selection instead shows the ordinary corporate installment schedule. Special entity-level taxes, foreign-owner withholding and payment amounts are outside scope.

Can I print or import the calendar into my calendar app?

Yes. Generate the free result, then print or save a PDF through your browser, download the complete text list or download an .ics calendar file. Exports include all entries even when filtered. Calendar imports create all-day planning entries with no alarms and do not subscribe you to future updates.

Are disaster extensions, state taxes and fiscal years covered?

No. This calendar covers ordinary federal obligations for full calendar years. Fiscal and short years require separate review. Check current IRS disaster relief and relevant state guidance; location-based relief and special circumstances can change the dates that apply.

Does marking a deadline handled prove I filed or paid?

No. Marks are personal tracking only. Keep actual filing acknowledgments, payment confirmations and extension records. Selections and marks stay in page memory and clear on reload; save your summary before leaving. No identifiers, tax documents or financial values are requested by this tool.
